Players will separate their seven cards into two different hands, one with 5 and one with 2 cards. The 5 card hand needs to have a higher value when compared to the smaller one. Also, the high hand will be ranked based on the conventional poker rules. The other hand will either be a pair or not and that will influence the value so there’s that.
Bets will be made and at that point players will turn their cards and the hands will be compared. A thing to note here is that the highest values will win. Unlike many of the other casino games, the pai gow rules do tell you that you can bet against the dealer if you want. This is known under the term of banking and it’s just a lot of fun.
